Daniel Hawkins is a photographer based in Silver Spring, MD. Originally from rural western Kentucky, Daniel and his wife, Amber, moved to Maryland so that he could attend grad school. It was during this time that he became interested in photography as a hobby to capture scenes from their vacations - especially their trips to Hawaii. Interest soon became obsession and eventually profession as Daniel's photos became more and more popular. His favorite subjects are landscapes, nature, and wildlife photography, but he has also done portraiture work of babies, high schoolers, and local dancer groups. His recent work has focused on areas in the Mid-Atlantic famous for their horses: Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia and the Upper Delaware River portions of Pennsylvania and New York.
